About Us

The Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative (AD Data Initiative) is a coalition of leading academic, advocacy, government, industry, and philanthropy organizations that recognizes the need for dementia researchers to find easier ways to share unpublished data, analytical tools, and scientific findings. These partners are working together to accelerate progress towards new diagnostics, treatments, and cures in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD).

In 2020, the AD Data Initiative publicly launched ADDI, a non-profit organization. ADDI is working to implement the mission of the AD Data Initiative and leading us to a future where open data and global collaboration power the end of ADRD.

Our Goals

  • Make existing data platforms interoperable to increase data access
  • Encourage and support academic and industry partners to share their dementia-related data
  • Build an enabling environment that empowers researchers to accelerate new discoveries
