The AD Data Initiative and National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) are pleased to announce a new integration that enables researchers to use AD Workbench to analyze NACC data. Modern Alzheimer’s research increasingly requires integrating multiple types of data, and analyzing these complex datasets often requires advanced computational resources and secure environments for controlled-access data. Together, we’re addressing researchers’ needs by providing a secure, cloud-based environment and access to one of the most comprehensive longitudinal datasets available for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
AD Data Initiative works to accelerate breakthroughs in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Its AD Workbench product is a free, secure, cloud-based data sharing and analytics environment designed for large-scale biomedical research, powered by the Global Research & Imaging Platform (GRIP) and its modular workflows and analytic tools.
NACC curates one of the most comprehensive free longitudinal Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias datasets in the world, including data from 54,000+ participants across 25+ states that spans clinical assessments, neuroimaging, biomarkers, genetics, and longitudinal outcomes.
This partnership enables investigators to move seamlessly from data access to advanced analysis, accelerating discovery across the ADRD research community among AD Workbench users who can now:
- use cloud-based infrastructure and perform scalable analyses
- work with rich longitudinal datasets and apply advanced analytical methods
- collaborate across institutions in secure workspaces
- upload NACC data and combine it with other data
- develop reproducible research workflows
